About Us

Founded in 1968 by Jim Dykes, Dykes Paving & Construction Company, Inc. now includes a paving, a materials, and a recycling division and has become one of the most highly regarded companies in the asphalt construction & recycling business. Large scale commercial entities, general contractors, developers and engineers rely on us for new construction projects – especially those requiring LEED certification. Property managers and maintenance staff count on our quality rehabilitation services to help them maintain and raise the value of their properties. Throughout greater Atlanta, when people think of paving services and materials for their businesses, churches, retail centers, malls, apartments, distribution centers, and other commercial construction projects, they think of Dykes.

  • Multiple stone crushing & asphalt manufacturing plants
  • 2 asphalt manufacturing facilities
  • Over 12 million square yards of asphalt paved across metro Atlanta
  • Over 18 million tons of aggregates produced

No matter how you add it up, your best resource for paving is Dykes

Innovation. If you’re looking for innovation on your construction projects, look no further than Dykes.

  • The popular Perma Flex® hot mix asphalt product was invented by Jim Dykes in 1970 to work with existing asphalt to fill cracks and prevent future reflective cracking – and it’s only available from Dykes or our licensees.
  • Our RTR™ product is the only cold mix product in production today made from 100% recycled content.
  • When Atlanta Fulton County stadium was torn down after the 1996 Olympic Games, Dykes Paving recycled 100% of the concrete, graded the site and paved the entire area.
  • Dykes is currently ranked the 4th largest producer of recycled aggregate in the nation. We’ve been environmentally conscious and “green” since long before sustainable building and LEED certification became priorities for the building industry.
